What happened to the Broke family once you got hold of them?

I normally cheat some and one of the firs things I do is make Dustin quit his job. Then I use a hacked painting to get his grade up to an A+, raise all their moods and of course I use motherlode to give them a few things. Then I normally have Brandi marry someone and have more kids. I like Brandi, but I also use my hacked painting to change her personality so she isn't so lazy. Can't stand lazy sims! lol!
