What do these dreams mean?

I had a dream a few months ago where I went to the house I used to live in with my ex fiance. I took this guy with me I had always liked. I really hate that house, even though it is a beautiful waterfront house. Anyway, in that dream, my ex had ruined the house and I got attacked by an alligator. Last night, I had the dream again, except my best girlfriend was there, the house was again ruined by my ex fiance, and I got attacked by an alligator. In real life, this Friday, I broke up with a different boyfriend. He told me today he had a dream last night I was living in a gorgeous house and was very happy with him. What do all these dreams mean, and what's up with the alligators?
