Why do army infantry men hate rotc grads that become lieutenant?

I was talking with my friend older brother who joined the army around the time of Iraqi freedom. We were talking about college and stuff. i said I was taking rotc cles in NYIT. he gave me a funny look. he said the infatry men wont respect and like you. When i heard this i was shocked. Is it true that in the army the grunts dont respect the rotc grads that become lieutenants? And that they hate them?
